Wide Open Media Group is recruiting a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to help qualify and generate leads for our sales team through outbound calling and emails to further the growth and advertising revenue potential of our network of websites, including Wide Open Spaces, Wide Open Country, Wide Open Pets, and Wide Open Eats. This individual will be working hand-in-hand with our Account Executive and Vice President of Sales on a daily basis in this effort.
The position will be located at our offices in Downtown Austin at 801 Congress. The SDR will be working in our offices as a contractor full-time, with the potential to earn a fully-benefitted staff role in time through hard work, dedication and proven results.
- At least 1-2 years sales experience in a high volume, cold-calling and cold outreach environment
- Self-motivation to work with limited supervision, an inherent "hunter" mentality, and competitive nature
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Very comfortable talking on the phone pitching new clients on our advertising products and with existing advertisers
- Highly organized with ability to manage multiple contacts / outreach activities with ease
- Loves the idea of working in a fast-paced, constantly evolving startup environment and would enjoy that challenge
What You'll Be Doing:
- Collaborating directly with sales team to learn and implement full life-cycle sales process of digital advertising products
- Generating leads through targeted outreach, outbound selling, and prospecting
- Tracking and inputting all daily activity directly into Salesforce.com to manage pipeline
- Consistently following up on previous outreach to move things along - follow up is crucial in our environment
